Wood for beams
J.C. van
de Voort has been specialised for more than a century now in oak for
restoration and renovation work. European
Douglas
and larch has in recent years been added to that list.

|
Oak, larch and
Douglas wood for beams are suitable for tie beams, boarding joists, wall panels,
roof ruts, etc. It can be sawn to a length of 1100 cm and any desired
dimensions.
Douglas has little
growth moisture, shrinks and pulls little, and
through drying gets a hardened outer layer. Another advantage is that the
longicorn beetle has not yet been seen in Douglas wood.
The dried oak
comes from France and Croatia and is specially selected according to structure
for stairs, doors and other joinery work.
The trading thickness is 18 to 65 mm KD and 80 to 150mm when naturally dried. |
